Further instructions on integrating the patch are available in a post on the project's website. The patch is compatible with the Valkyria Chronicles 3: Extra Edition and requires at least 4GB of open space on users' computers, as well as the installation of custom firmware for the PSP.
The project's goal was to translate the script for the title - which was only released in Japan in 2011 - and build a patch inserting the localization into the game's code. The Valkyria Chronicles 3 Fan Translation Project has been in development since February 2012. Players with a copy of PlayStation Portable title Valkyria Chronicles 3 can now download a fan-made patch that translates the game into English, the patch's creators announced on their website.
